WOOD
Items have available wood species listed in the description. The most offered species across items are walnut, cherry, and maple. The wonderful thing about these woods is that there are variations in each item and in each batch of wood. Cherry ranges from light salmon to deep copper and maple often has unique figuring. Items using scrap wood are not available for specific species requests. Occasionally, scrap wood products will include woods other than walnut, cherry, and maple. Although shapes are replicated for certain items using templates, please keep in mind each is handmade. This means that no two items will be exactly the same.
FABRIC
Sewn items listed in the wholesale catalog online are made from scrap outdoor fabrics. Cordura, X-PAC, nylon, and recycled outerwear are the most used fabrics. Pouches come complete with paracord zip pulls and hang loops. Colors and fabrics will be selected from scrap pile with care. Unlined. Much like the carved items, sewn items are made according to a pattern and have a general consistency in batches, but they are also made by hand. This means you can expect variations in seam allowances and slight variations in sizes. No two items are ever exactly alike.
Shipping
Items ship insured with the carrier offering the best rate. All orders ship ground unless expedited services are requested. All shipping charges, including insurance, are the responsibility of the buyer and will be invoiced after the production and packaging of your order. If you would like to waive insurance, you can request this in the order notes portion upon checkout, or email kelli@valleyhousewoodworking.com. Waiving insurance means that there will be no claim to file in the event of loss or damage.
Orders are packed to carrier standards to ensure safe travel and the sound arrival of items. To minimize environmental impact, your order may contain recycled packing materials.
Valley house cannot accept responsibility for lost or stolen packages. If this occurs and insurance was rolled into the standard shipping, we will work together to retrieve the amount insured from the carrier.
returns
Due to the small operating size of valley house, returns are not accepted. Quality and general consistency in items and materials are at the core of production, but items are 100% made by hand. Because it is one set of hands and eyes doing the work on your order, you can expect an attention to every detail and items that are completely unique and one-of-a-kind. If you would like a work sample of any item, you can purchase a single item to make sure the work quality stands up to your shop’s standards. Once you place an order, the items belong to you and your store!
